It has been reported that Manchester City will launch a bid to complete a transfer for Declan Rice this week.

This comes from Fabrizio Romano, after it was recently claimed that the West Ham United midfielder was in ‘advanced talks’ to join City.

Now, it seems like Manchester City are ready to submit a bid in order to eventually wrap up a transfer for Declan Rice.

Fabrizio Romano: Manchester City will bid this week to complete Declan Rice transfer

Branded as ‘intelligent’ by Frank Lebouef on Si & Dan Talk Chelsea, the 24-year-old has been reported to be a replacement for Ilkay Gundogan.

In fact, it was claimed that the Sky Blues would only try to sign the Englishman if Gundogan left, which is now the case as he has signed for Barcelona.

As a result, it has now been claimed by Fabrizio Romano that alongside Arsenal, Manchester City will submit a bid to bring Declan Rice to the Etihad Stadium.

The Gunners have seen two bids turned down by the Hammers in their pursuit of the Europa Conference League winner, as they intend to push for the highly-rated dynamo once again.

Declan Rice should not even hesitate in his final decision

If both Manchester City and Arsenal make satisfactory bids and the decision is left to Declan Rice, he should consider it as a no-brainer to sign for the former.

With Pep Guardiola in charge for two more seasons and City having come off the back of winning the treble, there is not a better place to play football for any player in the world.

Unless Rice personally does not back himself to break into the City XI, there is simply no reason why he should deny himself the chance to work under the best manager in the world and one of the greatest teams of all time.
