It has been reported that Manchester City are set to hold a ‘new round of talks’ with RB Leipzig in order to wrap up a transfer for Josko Gvardiol.
This comes from Fabrizio Romano, after it was claimed on Sunday that Pep Guardiola’s men had agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old.
Now, it seems like Manchester City have scheduled another round of talks with RB Leipzig to get the deal done for Josko Gvardiol.
Fabrizio Romano: Manchester City set to hold new round of talks over Josko Gvardiol transfer
Branded as an ‘elite young defender’ by WhoScored, the Croatian international is widely viewed as a generational talent.
So much so that according to Zlatko Dalic, the former Dinamo Zagreb centre-back is already the best in the world at such a young age.
Now, it has been reported that Manchester City are set to hold a ‘new round of talks’ with RB Leipzig over the potential arrival of Josko Gvardiol.

The one aspect of the deal that remains unchanged is that Leipzig are unwilling to part ways with the youngster unless City pay a handsome £85.7 million fee.
A report on Sunday claimed that the treble-winners had offered to shell out a £77.3 million fee to sign Gvardiol.
Manchester City should splash the cash on him
While one would never even try to teach Manchester City how to do business, Josko Gvardiol is a rare talent where a club must do everything in their power to sign him.
There is simply not a box that the highly-rated defender does not tick.
Gvardiol’s reading of the game is already world-class and match that with his incredible athleticism and physical gifts and you have a bona fide defensive titan.
On the ball, the Leipzig fan favourite is excellent at breaking the lines, finding runners in behind and carrying the ball over large distances.
For such a one-of-a-kind talent, City must pay the fee and never look back as it may prove to actually be a bargain in the long run.
