Manchester City do not seem to be done in the summer transfer market.
The Premier League giants were believed to be done signing players ahead of the 25/26 campaign; however, Tottenham’s interest in Savinho may have changed this stance.
Man City are not willing to let Savinho leave for North London, but if Spurs arrive with a proposal that is too good to turn down, the Manchester club may be forced to sell the winger.
That would require Pep Guardiola to dip into the market again, with Xavi Simons one option for the Spanish coach.
The legendary manager has another target in mind, but Man City may not be able to sign him until the end of the transfer window.

Man City could sign Rodrygo towards the end of the transfer window
Following Tottenham’s approach for Savinho, it was reported that Man City have a serious interest in Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and that talks have already taken place to find out what it would take to get a deal for the winger done.
It was reported on Tuesday that Real Madrid could ask for up to €120m (£104m) for the winger this summer, as the La Liga giants are under no pressure to sell the 24-year-old, who has a contract at the Bernabeu until 2028.
According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, if City are to secure the signature of Rodrygo, it will most likely happen towards the end of the transfer window.
“I think this is a situation that could ramp up at the end of the window, because there are a few Premier League clubs credited with an interest in Rodrygo, who is on decent money at Madrid,” the journalist said.
“I do get the impression they are open to offers, because, again, they’ve got so many options going forward, it’s difficult to see him playing too many minutes in the first team.
“He didn’t get a lot of game time at the Club World Cup. Arsenal have been mentioned, Liverpool are looking for a left-sider, having let Luis Diaz go, and again, I think the nearer we get to the window, the more inclined Real Madrid might be to accept a loan offer.
“Therefore, there’ll be a lot of top Premier League clubs who would want to be part of that conversation. The vibes coming out of City when it comes to Savinho are that they don’t want to sell.
“It would take a Tottenham club record fee, I think, to do that deal, which is maybe why they’ve deviated to Eberechi Eze.”

Manchester City unlikely to sign Rodrygo
Having not been a starter for Real Madrid at the FIFA Club World Cup, Rodrygo began the La Liga side’s most recent match with WSG Tirol on the bench, which will only accelerate his desire to leave before the summer transfer window shuts.
Realistically, that is not going to be Manchester City, as the Premier League club seem adamant that Savinho is not for sale unless Tottenham can come up with a transfer fee of well over £50m.
The Brazilian is only going to move to the Etihad Stadium if his fellow countryman departs; therefore, other interested parties in the 24-year-old have an advantage if they decide to move.
There is a long way to go before the current transfer window shuts, and it goes without saying that Man City fans would love to see the Real Madrid star in sky blue this season.
