Portugal secured a 2-1 victory over Germany on Wednesday night to advance to the final of the UEFA Nations League.
Man City fans had a close eye on the contest for many reasons, as they would have wanted to see how Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias played, most would see one of their goalkeeper targets, Diogo Costa, in action for the first time, and many would tune in to see what they missed out on with Florian Wirtz.
Dias would assist Francisco Conceicao for Portugal’s equaliser after Wirtz gave Germany the lead in the contest, only for Cristiano Ronaldo to score the winner five minutes later.
There was also a clash between the Bayer Leverkusen star and Silva, which prompted Man City fans to react to the incident, seeing as the German looks to have opted for a move to Liverpool over joining the Manchester club.

Bernardo Silva and Florian Wirtz clash in Germany vs Portugal
With a place in the final of the UEFA Nations League on the line, Germany vs Portugal was always going to have some fire within it, and that occurred when Silva and Wirtz came together in the second half of the contest with Roberto Martinez’s men 2-1 ahead.
With 84 minutes on the clock, the German would barely stand on Silva’s toe, however, the Man City star made the most of the contact and went down, which resulted in the two sets of players coming together and a yellow card being shown to the Bayer Leverkusen star.
Silva’s actions would have gone down well with his manager as they disrupted momentum during a period of the game when Germany needed an equaliser, while also seeing one of Julian Nagelsmann’s best players booked.
Since finding out Wirtz was never keen on a move to Man City this summer, fans of the Manchester club enjoyed Silva’s behaviour and reacted as expected.

Man City fans react to Bernardo Silva and Florian Wirtz incident
Following Silva and Wirtz’s minor coming together, Man City fans were all saying the same thing: that the Liverpool-bound midfielder was already rattled before even setting foot into the Premier League.
One Man City fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Wirtz already rattled by Bernardo.”
A second City supporter would add: “Wirtz getting his first L from City players.”
Another Man City fan would say about the incident: “Bernardo really bullied Wirtz today.”
This is unlikely to be the first time the duo clash if Wirtz is to complete his move to Liverpool over the coming days, as Man City fans hope to see their team contest the Premier League title with the Reds next season.
