Manchester City are into the Club World Cup final after beating Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 in Jeddah tonight, and fans were loving the cameo of Oscar Bobb.

City were very keen to win and win well tonight, after the very frustrating manner in which they dropped points against Crystal Palace in the Premier League at the weekend.

City initially struggled to break down a spirited Urawa side, but the breakthrough came just before half-time, with the brilliant Matheus Nunes forcing an own goal after a good run down the right side.

Mateo Kovacic added a second goal after a cracking through ball by Kyle Walker, and then Nunes then forced a save from the goalkeeper with Bernardo Silva turning in.

City were still a little sloppy tonight at times, mostly in the first-half.

But Pep Guardiola will have been largely pleased with what he saw, given the conditions and the pitch, which was not the best.

It was good to get another glimpse of Oscar Bobb tonight.

The youngster grabbed his first professional goal last week in the Champions League in the win over Red Star Belgrade, after which he came in for real praise from Erling Haaland, who called his compatriot β€˜class’.

Bobb replaced Bernardo Silva on 66 minutes, and was nothing but positive in what he did on the right wing.

Bobb was very direct, and linked up particularly well with Nunes who was playing in an inside right position in the second-half.

Bobb had several exciting dribbles tonight when he came on and he also worked hard on the rare occasion Urawa threatened.

Bobb’s ball-carrying and dribbling are definitely the most exciting thing about him though, and City fans were full of praise for the young Norwegian, whom Neil Lennon described as a cross between Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez last week.

Here are a few comments from City fans on social media after tonight’s 3-0 win over Urawa about the exciting Bobb:
