Manchester City last night rounded off their Champions League group stage campaign with another win, beating Red Star Belgrade 3-2.
City made it six wins out of six, with three players scoring their first goals for the club.
Micah Hamilton, in for his debut, scored in the first-half to give City the lead, lashing in at the near post.
There were also goals for Oscar Bobb and Kalvin Phillips, with Phillips scoring from the penalty spot. Potentially, this was his final appearance for City.
Like Hamilton’s, Bobb’s goal was superb for City. He collected the ball from Rico Lewis and carried it into the area before opening up his body and slotting it into the far corner.
After the game, he came in for praise from Erling Haaland…
Erling Haaland praises Oscar Bobb after scoring first Manchester City goal

Ahead of the game, Neil Lennon – on punditry duty for TNT Sports – was full of praise for Bobb, and compared him to Riyad Mahrez and Leroy Sane.
He led the line last night for City and was fairly quiet up until his brilliant goal.
In that moment he did channel Mahrez and Sane with the way he dribbled the ball, and both players would have been proud of the youngster’s effort.
Bobb has been on the fringes this season, as a young player who has just broken through.
But he did himself no harm at all last night with his performance.
After the game, there was plenty of praise for Bobb, including from Erling Haaland, who shared a picture on Instagram from the official Manchester City account of Bobb holding the Player of the Match trophy. Tagging the player, Haaland commented ‘Class’.
What a prospect
Last night was such a good reflection of the Manchester City academy, and Bobb looks like a top prospect.
He was a bit quiet at times, but that was perhaps to be expected since he’s not yet played as a striker for the first-team.
But he took his goal so well, and that dribbling makes him a frightening player to come up against. We also saw it earlier this season when he played against Newcastle United, with Micah Richards hailing him as ‘outstanding’ after that game.
Haaland – who Bobb has said is always supporting him at the club – knows full well the kind of quality Bobb possesses since he trains with him day in, day out.
