MORE MAN CITY STORIES
It is essentially the Ballon d’Or for goalkeepers, and there are ten contenders for the 2023 award.
They are Ederson, Marc André ter Stegen, Dominik Livaković, Emiliano Martínez, Thibaut Courtois, Aaron Ramsdale, Mike Maignan, Yassine Bono, André Onana, and Brice Samba.
Ederson is definitely in with a shout of winning.
But there could be fierce competition from World Cup-winning goalkeeper Martinez. Bono also gave a very good account of himself at the World Cup.
Ederson has a golden chance of winning Yashin trophy
It will be interesting to see who picks up this year’s award, which will be handed out on October 30.
But there is no doubt about it; Ederson is in with a fantastic chance of winning the award for the first time in his career.
The £35 million man would deserve it.

£100,000-a-week star Ederson played a huge part in City’s Treble win, and his performance in the actual Champions League final against Inter was clutch.
He was also very good in the first leg semii-final against Real Madrid, after which Pep Guardiola branded him ‘exceptional’.
It would amazing to see him win. Because he is such an important player for City and he often gets overlooked because of the amazing things that go on in front of him.
