Manchester City are now confident about signing Ian Subiabre and Agustin Ruberto from River Plate – in addition to Real Madrid target Claudio Echeverri.
That is according to 90min.
So, what is the latest on transfers at Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
Manchester City optimistic about signing River Plate trio
Well, the Argentinian giants have produced many superstars over the years – including Julian Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Javier Mascherano, Alfredo Di Stefano and Hernan Crespo.
Now, some more diamonds are emerging in Subiabre, Ruberto and Echeverri.
90min believe Chelsea are rivalling Manchester City for the Argentinian trio, although the treble winners are optimistic about fending off the west Londoners due to their strong relationship with River Plate.
That is said to have been created during negotiations to sign Alvarez back in January 2022 – the Argentina international was signed by Manchester City in a £14.1m deal and loaned back for six months.

Echeverri and Ruberto are able to join Manchester City in January as they both turn 18 next month – 90min believe the treble winners would be open to loaning them back to River Plate too.
In regards to Subiabre, he will turn 17 in January, so must wait before he can move overseas.
Nevertheless, Manchester City are confident that all three will end up at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City seem closest to signing Real Madrid target Claudio Echeverri
By the sounds of it, Manchester City are closest to signing Echeverri.
A story from the Mirror claimed that Manchester City are confident about fending off Real Madrid to sign the South American, with an earlier article from TV Play in Italy even suggesting that the Citizens had already triggered his £22m release clause.

There have not been as many reports about Subiabre and Ruberto – so Echeverri seems likeliest to join first.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as anything could happen.
