As Manchester City prepare to face Inter Milan in the Champions League final, we have tried to call their predicted lineup.

With Pep Guardiola’s side on the verge of winning the treble in Istanbul, we expect him to make just one change from the side that beat Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup final.

That is likely to be the one and only change to the side that locks horns against Simone Inzaghi’s side.

At right-back, Kyle Walker is set to keep his place, as he told talkSPORT that his recent knock is nothing to be worried about.

John Stones, who has thrived in his newfound hybrid role is set to be one of the first names on the team sheet at centre-back.

Right alongside the England international will be Ruben Dias who has been so important in this Champions League run.

Left-back is where Pep Guardiola may have a selection headache, and considering that Nathan Ake has only started a single game since returning from injury, Manuel Akanji could retain his place.

In defensive midfield, Rodri is almost guaranteed to start, as he continues to cement his status as arguably the best defensive midfielder on the planet.

Speaking of guaranteed starters, Ilkay Gundogan is another name that instantly springs to mind in our Manchester City lineup against the Italian giants.

To cap off City’s midfield trio will be none other than Kevin De Bruyne who scored a key goal in the semi-final against Real Madrid.

On the right-wing, Bernardo Silva, who was the hero in his side’s 4-0 demolition job against Real Madrid and produced a masterclass against Bayern Munich as well is another player destined to start from the off.

As for Erling Haaland, he’s pretty much guaranteed a place in this starting XI after a remarkable season.

Despite Phil Foden’s electric form since returning from his appendix surgery, Jack Grealish is another indispensable member of this City side and he starts down the left.
