As Manchester City gear themselves up to face Manchester United at Old Trafford, we have tried to call their predicted lineup.
Coming off the back of their 3-1 victory against Young Boys, we expect Pep Guardiola to make as many as six changes to his side.
Manchester City predicted lineup vs Manchester United
Ederson Moraes is expected to start as per usual in our Manchester City predicted lineup against Manchester United.
At right-back, it seems like Kyle Walker will return to fold in order to deal with Marcus Rashford’s threat, with Rico Lewis being benched.
Considering John Stones was rested against Young Boys, he seems dead set to be drafted into the side in place of the suspended Manuel Akanji.
Alongside the Englishman is likely to be Ruben Dias, who could retain his place in our Manchester City predicted lineup.
At left-back, Josko Gvardiol is expected to take Nathan Ake’s place, having been an instant success since his arrival.
In defensive midfield, Rodri, who was typically splendid against Young Boys is virtually guaranteed to start on Sunday.
However, Mateo Kovacic seems set to be replaced by Bernardo Silva against Manchester United.
At right-wing, Phil Foden seems likely to take Jeremy Doku’s place but with Jack Grealish actually dropping to the bench, despite putting on a sparkling showing in the Champions League on Wednesday.
On the left flank, Jeremy Doku could start against Erik ten Hag’s side, with Pep Guardiola believed to be leaning towards the decision, as per the Independent’s Miguel Delaney.

Right behind the striker is where Julian Alvarez, branded as ‘extraordinary’ by Khaldoon Al Mubarak seems set to play in our Manchester City predicted lineup with Matheus Nunes coming out of the side.
Speaking of the main man up front, Erling Haaland will look to do similar damage to the Red Devils as he did with his hat-trick at the Etihad Stadium last season.
Manchester City predicted lineup vs Manchester United: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Dias, Gvardiol, Rodri, Bernardo, Foden, Doku, Alvarez, Haaland
