As Manchester City prepare to host RB Leipzig in the Champions League, we have predicted the lineup that could feature for them at the Etihad Stadium.

After drawing 1-1 to Liverpool on Saturday, we expect Pep Guardiola to just make two changes to his side.

Coming off the back of a sublime showing against Jurgen Klopp’s side, Ederson Moraes looks even likelier than usual to start in goal, according to our Manchester City predicted lineup against RB Leipzig.

At right-back, Kyle Walker could be rested, with Rico Lewis taking his place as Pep Guardiola confirmed in his embargoed press conference (via Hayters TV) that he is likely to feature.

Hailed as “exceptional” by Guardiola himself, the youngster has started three out of four Champions League games this campaign.

Manuel Akanji, who was praised as a top signing by the Catalan could keep his place in the XI after impressing against Liverpool.

Ruben Dias could also be given a breather, with Nathan Ake starting as a left-sided centre-back, as per our Manchester City predicted lineup to face RB Leipzig.

With City set to face Tottenham on Sunday, it would not be a surprise to see the Portuguese colossus be benched for precautionary reasons.

Due to Ruben Dias’ predicted absence, Josko Gvardiol could come in for him but operate at left-back.

Considering Kalvin Phillips looks no closer to staking a claim in the Sky Blues’ starting XI, it is hard to look past Rodri when assessing which midfielder will screen the back four against the German side.

Bernardo Silva also looks set to start once again against RB Leipzig.

The 29-year-old was arguably City’s best player against Liverpool, with Michael Brown commenting on how he was “everywhere” on Saturday.

As for the wing pair, Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku seem likely to keep their places, considering they are yet to start in tandem in Europe’s elite competition this season.

Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez have been on fire as a front two this campaign and once again, one expects Pep Guardiola to start the pair.
