Manchester City are back in action this weekend with another Premier League clash.

After opening their campaign with a 2-0 away win against Chelsea, City followed that up by beating Ipswich Town 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

This time around, Pep Guardiola’s side find themselves travelling to London once again, this time to take on West Ham United on Saturday.

Looking ahead to this game, one pundit and former top-flight player has shared his thoughts on how this match could pan out.

Mark Schwarzer drops Man City prediction for West Ham clash

Hosting a recent edition of the Optus Sport Football Podcast, Mark Schwarzer had this to say about City’s match against the Hammers.

He said: “Look, I mean West Ham in a different start to the season, however, I still fancy obviously Man City.

“I can’t see anything else other than a Manchester City win at the London Stadium and I’m going to go with 3-1.”

City will want another win in the capital this weekend

After their win against Ipswich, Ian Wright claimed that City could have an invincible season this term based on how good they’ve looked so far.

With the Blues currently top of the table on goal difference, Guardiola will undoubtedly want to see his players continue their winning streak and add another three points to their tally.

In their new season under Julen Lopetegui, the East London club lost 2-1 at home to Aston Villa before beating Crystal Palace 2-0 away from home.

The Hammers were also in action on Wednesday night as they beat Bournemouth 1-0 in the Carabao Cup.

In their previous meeting with West Ham at the London Stadium last season, the Blues came from behind to win 3-1 in September thanks to goals from Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva.

Taking into account how City have bagged six goals across their first two league games, it’s easy to see why Schwarzer has now backed them to land another victory this weekend.
