Matheus Nunes has had a mixed time at Manchester City so far.
Since City shelled out £53m to sign Nunes from Wolves back in the 2023 summer transfer window, the midfielder has only started 16 of the 36 games he’s appeared in across all competitions.
However, the Portuguese international has scored one goal and delivered six assists for Pep Guardiola’s side, in addition to showing off his versatility by playing in multiple positions.
Despite winning his first Premier League trophy last season, the 26-year-old has not made himself a regular starter for the Citizens.
Back in May, it was reported that Guardiola views Nunes as a useful player for City and wants to give him more opportunities to play.
Now though, in the middle of his second season at the Etihad Stadium, the midfielder has shared the one thing he really wants to do at City in the future.

Matheus Nunes shares Man City dream
Appearing in a recent video shared on the official Man City YouTube channel, Nunes was answering numerous questions sent in by fans.
When asked what goal he wants to achieve in the future, Nunes gave this response.
He said: “I want to win the Champions League. This is my top one dream.
“City is always fighting for every title, they won it two seasons ago, and this year we’re going to fight for it, of course. And I’m in the best place to do so.”
Guardiola named one side he doesn’t want to play in the Champions League
During the recent international break, Guardiola said this when asked which side he wouldn’t want City to face in the Champions League this season.
He said: “Probably Barcelona, because the affection I have for them really destroys me.”
As Nunes mentioned, City won their first Champions League title in 2023 before then getting knocked out in the quarter-final round of the tournament by Real Madrid on penalties last season.
With two matches played in this season’s league phase of the competition, the Blues have drawn 0-0 against Inter Milan and beat Slovan Bratislava 4-0.
Now that the midfielder has shared how desperate he is to win the Champions League with City at some point and highlighted how hard the team will fight to win it this season, this should definitely delight Guardiola and the supporters hoping to see the club become European champions again.
