Manchester City supporters have had the chance to see many of their club’s players in action during the 2024 European Championship.
With City having more players (14) from their squad selected to represent their countries in the Euros than any other Premier League side, four of them have made it to Sunday’s final.
With the semi-final games out of the way, one pundit and former City player has been unable to hide his admiration and praise for what he’s seen recently from one of the four City stars who will be likely to feature in the upcoming final between Spain and England.

Micah Richards wowed by Phil Foden in latest England appearance
In a recent edition of The Rest Is Football, while assessing England’s 2-1 victory over the Netherlands, Micah Richards had this to say about what he saw from Phil Foden specifically in the game.
He said: “Phil Foden in the number 10 was brilliant again on the half turn, doing all the things that we’ve been yearning for for so long.”
Foden had a successful night against the Netherlands
In what was his sixth consecutive start for the Three Lions in this tournament, the City star completed 80 minutes against Ronald Koeman’s side before being replaced by Cole Palmer, who went on to provide the assist for Ollie Watkins’ winning goal.
During his time on the pitch, with 56 touches of the ball in total, the midfielder accurately completed all 40 passes he attempted and had three shots at goal, one of which came from outside the box but hit the woodwork.
With Roy Keane saying at halftime that Foden was “running the show” for England in the first period of Wednesday’s game, it comes as no surprise that Richards was also impressed with what he saw from the six-time Premier League champion in his latest England game.
