Manchester City had a busy winter on the transfer front as four high-profile signings arrived at the Etihad Stadium.
Omar Marmoush, Nico Gonzalez, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis all joined Manchester City in the transfer window just gone.
All four have already featured for the Citizens since their arrival, with Marmoush having arguably the biggest impact so far.
Marmoush announced himself in the Premier League with a wonderful hat-trick in the win over Newcastle United.
Indeed, even Arsene Wenger has spoken highly of Marmoush in recent days.
Now, Premier League cult hero Mido – who gave Marmoush his debut at Egyptian side Wadi Degla – told Man City fans exactly what they can expect from their new star.

Mido backs Omar Marmoush to ‘be the star of the team next season’
Mido has claimed that Manchester City fans can expect a real superstar in Marmoush, saying he has the character and quality to thrive at the highest level.
“I’m not surprised with his ethic from last weekend, I know him very well,” Mido told talkSPORT.
“I know that he is brave and has got the character to compete at the highest level, the boy has got quality.
“He’s very clever to get into the right movement with the right timing, and I think when the City team gets better and plays better, he will score more goals.
“He can play as a left winger, right winger, and believe me, he’s a good striker as well, if [Erling] Haaland is not there, he can do a job.
“This season I’m expecting him to do well and… I think he will be the star of the team next season.”
Whether Omar Marmoush can play alongside Erling Haaland as Jermain Defoe comparison made
Mido explained how Marmoush’s style of play is similar to that of Premier League cult hero Jermain Defoe.
Mido also said Marmoush could play alongside Erling Haaland and explained why.
“He’s a direct player, he doesn’t care about touching the ball much or getting deep,” said Mido.
“He just makes the right movement at the right time, he’s great with dealing with crosses for tap-ins and to be in the right position.
“I think he is a great fit to play with Haaland as well, because Haaland will make his job much easier with his physical presence and the way he keeps the ball. They can play very well together.”
Mido continued: “This is his quality – to run behind the defenders and to run the channel.
“He’s a little bit like Defoe, he doesn’t want the ball to his feet so much, okay he’s good on the ball when he gets the ball to his feet.
“But his real quality is to run behind the defenders and to stretch any defence that plays against City.”
