There could be a few high-profile departures from Manchester City this summer.
Indeed, the likes of Kyle Walker, Riyad Mahrez and Aymeric Laporte are all being linked with moves away, while Ilkay Gundogan has already gone.
However, there’s another big name who could also be on his way out.
Indeed, according to Graeme Bailey, speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Bernardo Silva really wants to leave the Etihad this summer.
According to Bailey, Silva is actually pushing harder for a move than Riyad Mahrez is.

Silva wants to go
Bailey shared what he knows about the ‘amazing’ player.
“Mahrez is in a similar situation that Silva was in last year when Silva was demanding to move. City told him to give them another year and he’s done that, so I think Silva is more pressing actually because they’ve told him he could go.” Bailey said.
“I don’t see how Barcelona can get Silva done, I think it’s tough, but while there is hope of a Barcelona move I think Silva is stalling, he’s stalling on PSG, Saudi. We don’t know why Silva is that unhappy at City, but he really wants to get out.”

Concerning
Manchester City may be the reigning treble-winning champions of Europe, but this is starting to get worrying now.
Yes, the squad is still very strong, but if Bernardo Silva follows Gundogan through the exit door, this midfield will be really short on numbers.
Of course, Mateo Kovacic has come in to help out, but simple maths will tell you that one addition is not enough to cover two departures.
City need to figure out how they’re going to retain or replace Silva depending on what happens here.
