Alan Shearer has lavished praise upon Manchester City maestro Bernardo Silva for his sumptuous display against Manchester United.
After Pep Guardiola’s men ran riot in the Manchester Derby with a 3-0 win, the popular pundit picked the £43 million (BBC Sport) man in his Premier League Team of the Week.
Alan Shearer was seriously impressed by Bernardo Silva, who put on yet another masterclass in a big game for Manchester City against Manchester United.
Alan Shearer raves about Bernardo Silva after Manchester City beat Manchester United
Branded as ‘irreplaceable’ by Pep Guardiola, the 29-year-old showcased why he is one of the most complete players in the world at Old Trafford once again.
The Portuguese international was a force to be reckoned with at both left-wing and deep in midfield, as he managed to grab an assist and create chances from out wide whilst also controlling the game from the middle of the park.
Alan Shearer clearly noted how influential Bernardo Silva was for his Manchester City side against Manchester United as he sang his praises.

“He was on another level. Crossed for Haaland’s second and was the best player at Old Trafford”, he said.
Bernardo Silva may be the most well-rounded player in the world
Alan Shearer was right to laud Manchester City technician Bernardo Silva, as he was in terrific touch on Sunday.
However, another conversation that is worth having is whether the former AS Monaco attacker is indeed the most complete player in the world.
Be it as a winger, as a No.8, as an attacking midfielder or pretty much anywhere on the pitch, Bernardo Silva has shown that he can be elite.
The five-time Premier League winner is well capable of operating like a utility man but unlike several versatile players, he has proven that he is largely world-class in any part of the pitch.
That is genuinely quite a rare trait that differentiates him from any other player in world football.
