Manchester City boast a number of speedy players in their dressing room.
Pep Guardiola has plenty of technicians who are capable of doing extremely impressive things with a football.
But he’s also got several players who can run very, very quickly when needed.
For a number of years now, it has been accepted that Kyle Walker is the fastest player City have, with the full-back famous for his pace.
Several players have suggested that Walker has been the quickest over a longer distance.
Only in April of this year, Sky Sports commentator Alan Smith described Walker as a ‘steam train’ during a game with Brighton.
But he is statistically not actually the fastest City player this season.
Erling Haaland clocked as the fastest Manchester City player in 2024/25

Walker has not been able to feature too much so far this season, due to the continued amazing form of Rico Lewis.
But he’s still made six appearances and spent 362 minutes on the pitch.
That has been ample time to stretch his legs and while has done that a few times, he has not been recorded as City’s fastest player.
That honour, goes to Erling Haaland.
As per official Premier League statistics, the Norwegian sensation has been clocked doing 35.74 km/h this season, making him the third-fastest player in the division.
Only Micky van de Ven (37.12 km/h) and Anthony Elanga (35.90 km/h) have been recorded going quicker than the City number nine.
Haaland is frightening
Interestingly there is no sign of Walker on the list of fastest players in the Premier League so far in 2024/25.
The 34-year-old has played 260 of his minutes in the league and has definitely made some sprints, but seemingly he is no longer the top dog when it comes to speed at City.
Gary Lineker was left amazed by how quick Walker still was at Euro 2024 over the summer. But it’s possible he might have lost a yard since.
Haaland’s pace really is frightening.
He is already 6ft 5in tall, so to have that speed to boot really does make him one of the most fearsome strikers in football.
And then, of course, he also has deadly finishing ability, making him a defender’s nightmare.
