Anton Ferdinand has said that Manchester City great Kevin De Bruyne is one of the best players in Premier League history.
Speaking on the FIVE YouTube channel, the pundit gave his two cents on the £54 million (Guardian) man.
Anton Ferdinand believes that there have not been many better players in Premier League history than Kevin De Bruyne.
Anton Ferdinand calls Kevin De Bruyne ‘one of the best ever’
Branded as ‘incredible’ by Pep Guardiola (via Sky Sports), the 32-year-old is in the conversation for being the greatest midfielder to have ever graced English football.
In fact, many already believe that the debate has become a no-contest between the decorated creator, branded as the ‘[Roger] Federer of football’ by Danny Murphy and legends such as Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard to name a few.
Now, Anton Ferdinand has blasted Gareth Southgate for pinpointing how Phil Foden does not play consistently in midfield at club level due to the presence of Kevin De Bruyne.

“Does he [Gareth Southgate] not realise he’s [Phil Foden] got the best, one of the best ever to play in the Premier League in Kevin De Bruyne in front of him?”, he said.
Kevin De Bruyne is in contention to go down as the greatest Premier League player of all time
Of course, the instant reaction to such a statement would be to name Arsenal icon Thierry Henry.
But as Anton Ferdinand said, the former VFL Wolfsburg talisman is one of the greatest to have played in the Premier League and in our view, he should at least be in the conversation for such a title.
De Bruyne ticks every single box to be regarded as the absolute best; quality, consistency, longevity and silverware.
While it would be fair to have Thierry Henry as the undisputed greatest player in Premier League history, to mention the Belgian playmaker in such discussions should be far from outlandish at this point.
