Riyad Mahrez has officially left Manchester City, joining Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli.

The two clubs recently struck an agreement for the player’s transfer, and it’s believed City secured around £30 million for his departure.

Mahrez leaves the Etihad after five seasons at the club.

He joined in 2018 after a hugely successful spell with Leicester City.

Mahrez played an absolutely key role in the Foxes’ Premier League title triumph in 2016, winning Player of the Season.

City bought him for £60 million which raised a few eyebrows.

But the Algerian wizard proved to be a fantastic addition for the club.

He has provided some amazing moments for the club and made some really important contributions during his time at the Etihad.

Many fans are gutted that Mahrez has gone.

Without doubt, he was a pleasure to watch play.

He was also still a top quality player despite being 32 years of age.

Ah Ahli have made a brilliant signing, and their new forward line of him, Roberto Firmino and Allan Saint-Maximin is a serious statement.

The tributes have been pouring in for Mahrez, and there was one particularly nice one from Jack Grealish. Seemingly, he had a really close bond with Mahrez.

The England international posted on his Instagram: “Ahhh Riyad!! What a guy!! One of the funniest guys I’ve ever met and one of the best I’ve ever played with. All the best my brother you will be missed.”

Aymeric Laporte also sent a heartfelt message to the winger after his exit.

This is a claim claim from Grealish, and it just shows how highly he rated the 32-year-old.

Mahrez proved to be a fantastic signing by City.

The star scored 78 goals and made 59 assists in 236 appearances for the club, which is an amazing return.
