Oscar Bobb congratulated Phil Foden after his impeccable display for Manchester City in their 3-1 victory against Copenhagen on Tuesday.
The Norwegian international watched from the sidelines as City controlled proceedings at the Parken Stadium.
At one point, it seemed like Pep Guardiola was set to bring Oscar Bobb on to replace the treble-winner, who was caught by an aggressive tackle in the first half.
However, Foden battled on and put in a performance in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 that merits all the plaudits in the world.
Oscar Bobb sends one-word message to Phil Foden after Manchester City defeat Copenhagen
Rio Ferdinand emphasised how much of a key role the 23-year-old plays in this Sky Blues side in terms of the goals and assists he contributes as well as how he helps the team sustain their rhythm during games.
Nedum Onuoha also hailed the Englishman’s performance as “brilliant” while placing emphasis on the fact that he had put in such a wondrous display from the wing instead of his natural position in midfield.

As Manchester City technician Phil Foden took to Instagram to celebrate his side’s win against Copenhagen, Oscar Bobb commented, “Wow” with a starry-eyed emoji.
The 20-year-old must have been inspired watching Phil Foden run the show
Witnessing Phil Foden have his say against Copenhagen, Oscar Bobb perhaps would have been inspired by watching his Manchester City teammate.
At 23 years of age, Foden is only three years older than Bobb and he is already one of his boyhood club’s go-to men in a massive Champions League knockout fixture.
In three years’ time, the Oslo-born midfielder must also be hoping that he too becomes a regular starter and becomes one of City’s most vital performers, regardless of the stage he is playing at.
It may seem a faraway goal but then again, doubt Oscar Bobb at your own peril.
