Manchester City are Champions of Europe!
Pep Guardiola’s side came out on top in last night’s Champions League final against Inter, with Rodri scoring the game’s only goal.
City struggled against the Italians, who had a clear plan to disrupt.
Nerves were a factor for City, as they sought to right the wrongs of two years ago.
But in the end, after first losing Kevin De Bruyne to injury, they got the job done.
Manuel Akanji strode forwards and slipped in Bernardo Silva. His deflected cross found Rodri, who calmly slotted the ball round a couple of Inter players to score.
There have been many, many reactions to what happened last night from former players. But there were perhaps none more heartfelt that the message Pablo Zabaleta felt.

Zabaleta himself could sadly never got his hands on the Champions League trophy.
But he was one of the first last night to send his congratulations to the current side.
He wrote the very classy message on Twitter shortly after the full-time whistle: “Very proud of this TEAM!!! They fought their socks off today against a very good side.
“Congratulations to all @ManCity fans and also to some great people at the club who deserve this!!! ‘Once a Blue, always a Blue’.”
David Silva also reacted to the win for his old side.

This is a lovely message from a true City cult hero.
He has not singled out one player, and praised the team as a whole. And last night there probably wasn’t really a standout player. They got the job done as a team.
They fought hard, despite not being at their best. And they did not let the occasion get the better of them this time.
And it’s nice of Zabaleta to acknowledge the great people behind the scenes at City.
This title, and Treble, is not just about the players and Pep Guardiola.
A lot of hard work goes into the whole process and this is as much about them.
