Brian Kerr believes that Manchester City anchor Rodri is now certainly a superior player than Manchester United dynamo Casemiro.
Speaking to Off The Ball, the pundit was lauding the Spanish international after which he brought the £70 million (Sky Sports) into the conversation.
Currently, Brian Kerr believes Rodri has surpassed Casemiro.
Brian Kerr says Rodri is much better than Casemiro
Branded as ‘dominant’ by the veteran himself on Off The Ball, the treble-winner has inarguably been the best defensive midfielder in the world for the past two seasons.
Both on and off the ball as well as in terms of his clutch moments, the 27-year-old has proven time and again why he is destined for greatness.
So much so that despite Casemiro being hailed by many as the best in the world last season, Brian Kerr believes Rodri is in a league of his own.

“Casemiro was such a key player for Real Madrid over so long as the holding player in the trio with [Luka] Modric and [Toni] Kroos. But you wouldn’t put him ahead of Rodri in his all-round game. I think Rodri has now passed him”, he said.
“There’s not many others I would say…I can’t think of anyone off the top of my head who is better than him in that position.”
Rodri is on another level to the Manchester United midfielder
While Brian Kerr would also acknowledge that Casemiro is a legend of the game, Rodri is simply on another level to him, as Joleon Lescott previously acknowleged.
First and foremost, the Brazilian international lacks the athleticism he did a few years ago to be regarded as better off-the-ball than the Manchester City fan favourite.
On the ball, it is a no-contest, with Rodri being as comfortable as one can get in tight spaces and a much superior passer of the ball than Casemiro has ever been.
There is simply no aspect where the latter can hold his own when compared to the latter, as the former Atletico Madrid midfielder is rightly viewed as the second coming of Sergio Busquets.
