Manchester City drew 3-3 with Feyenoord in the Champions League, throwing away a three-goal lead.
Manchester City are a laughing stock tonight, after a defensive horror show in the final 15 minutes cost the team a much-needed victory.
It’s now six games without a win for Pep Guardiola’s side, and one would imagine some choice words were said in the dressing room tonight.
City were 3-0 up by 50 minutes thanks to two goals from Erling Haaland and one from Ilkay Gundogan.
But then awful defending allowed Feyenoord to mount the unlikeliest of comebacks, with fans slamming Guardiola for his substitutions at 3-0 up.
It feels like a defeat, and Guardiola has now spoken out after tonight’s draw.
Pep Guardiola reacts as Man City give up three-goal lead vs Feyenoord

A frustrated Guardiola again suggested City are fragile at the moment after the draw with Feyenoord. He also suggested the team has a lack of stability about it right now.
He said (via BBC Sport): “The game was fine at 3-0, playing good, but then we concede a lot of goals because we were not stable. We gave them the first and then the other one, that is why it was difficult.
“We lost a lot of games lately, we are fragile and of course, we needed a victory, the game was good for the confidence. We were playing a good level but the first time something happened we had problems.
“I don’t know if it is mental. The first goal cannot happen and the second as well. After that we forget what happened, we were desperate to win and do well, we do well but don’t win games.
“The situation is what it is. We played a good game but at that level we can’t give them away.
“Right now I am not ready to think about that [need to win final three games to finish top eight]. We have to recover and prepare for the next game. If we are not able to win games like we did today it is difficult to do it.”
Feyenoord draw is one of Man City’s worst results
City really needed to win and win well tonight against Feyenoord.
At 3-0 up, City looked sure to be getting back on track. But defensive mistakes have ended up costing the team once again.
It feels like a loss, and this will potentially have a big psychological impact on the players now heading into the game with Liverpool.
Going to Anfield after throwing a game away in this fashion is extremely far from ideal, and Pep Guardiola has much to think about once again.
