Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has given his verdict on Cole Palmer’s start to life at Chelsea.

Guardiola has noted how Palmer is doing at Chelsea since leaving Manchester City in the summer transfer window.

So, what has Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said about Chelsea attacking player Cole Palmer?

Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, Chelsea will take on Manchester City at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Sunday.

Cole Palmer is very likely to start for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

The 21-year-old, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or a winger, joined Chelsea from City in the summer transfer window.

Palmer has already made himself an important player in the Chelsea team and is starting regularly now.

The English youngster has scored three goals and given two assists in eight Premier League matches for the Blues this season.

Palmer is also taking penalties for Chelsea.

Ahead of the match, City manager Pep Guardiola has praised Palmer for the way he has started his Chelsea career.

The Manchester Evening News quotes Guardiola as saying about Palmer: “Yeah [it’s a shame], congratulations for Chelsea.

“We’re really pleased [for him]. He wanted game time and he has it, so congratulations. He’s a guy who came from the academy.

“If he is having success, it’s good for him and we wish him the best.”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is not missing Cole Palmer

In my opinion, Manchester City are not missing Cole Palmer at all.

City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, have other promising young players who are potentially better.

Guardiola reportedly thinks that Oscar Bobb is a bigger talent than Palmer.

While Palmer is a huge talent, he made only two starts in the Premier League and just one start in the UEFA Champions League for City last season.

So, it is not as if Palmer was an integral player in Guardiola’s system ;ast season.
