City manager Pep Guardiola has said that John Stones will not play against Chelsea.
The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich boss has added that the England international defender could miss out against Liverpool as well.
Stones only recently returned to action after being out since August, but the £250,000-a-week (Spotrac) 29-year-old will not play against Chelsea and is doubtful against Liverpool due to a muscle injury he picked up against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League.
Guardiola told City’s official website about Stones: “He is injured.
“He is not ready for tomorrow and we will see after international break.
“I don’t know (whether he will be ready) for Liverpool.
“The doctor says it’s not as bad (as first thought), but still I don’t know.
“When he is going to be fit again, he will be back.”
