The Man City boss hailed the winger as ‘unstoppable’ when he’s at his best, and he claimed that he is actually the fastest player at Man City over a short spurt.
“Jeremy in that position, one against one, against central defenders, in the five meters, he’s the fastest player. It’s unstoppable. Long distances maybe suffer a lot for his genetics, but in his small spaces, the one-two, how fast he is, always I encourage him to go, to go, to prove it, to take it and make an incredible finish at the end,” Guardiola said.
How fast is Jeremy Doku?
Guardiola says Jeremy Doku is the fastest player at Man City, and the stats do appear to back that up.
Indeed, the winger is seriously rapid, and the numbers show just how quick he is.
In fact, at Euro 2024, Doku was clocked as being the second-fastest player at the tournament, via the BBC.
