After Manchester City suffered a 3-2 loss to AC Milan, Pep Guardiola made an interesting revelation about one of the young players who have jetted to the US to partake in the club’s pre-season tour.
A bulk of City’s squad that is currently in the United States is composed of youngsters — with the likes of Jahmai Simpson-Pusey, Mahmadou Susoho, Callum Doyle, Nico O’Reilly, Maximo Perrone, James McAtee and Oscar Bobb starting the contest against Milan.
Bobb, however is an established first-team player and he starred during the contest — with Guardiola describing the wonderkid’s showing as “electric.”
Several of the substitutes who were brought on in the second-half were also youngsters, such as Micah Hamilton, Amar Fatah, Jadel Katongo, Joshua Wilson-Esbrand and Jacob Wright.

One of the names who stood out was Fatah, considering he is yet to ever represent Manchester City.
It was reported by Manchester Evening News journalist Simon Bajkowski that the 20-year-old is currently on trial with City and he plays for fellow CFG (City Football Group) club Troyes.
The report further stated that the Swedish winger, who was on loan at Lommel SK last season was unlikely to be signed permanently.
Journalist Sam Lee had also revealed that the youngster had only gone on pre-season to gain further help on his injury after receiving treatment in Manchester this summer.
Pep Guardiola disclosed after Manchester City lost to AC Milan that the club advised him to take a close look at Fatah, who came off the bench at the Yankee Stadium.
The £378,846-a-week man said via BeanymanSports: “Look at Amar [Fatah], this guy, come from Troyes, the club told me, you have to take a look because his potential, look. Every time he has the ball, the dribble, byline, that is what a winger is about.”

Pep Guardiola was clearly impressed by Fatah and rightfully so, as his cameo in a Manchester City shirt against AC Milan was impressive.
The youngster was deployed on the right-wing and instantly, he displayed the confidence to take on his man.
Fatah’s quick feet and blistering pace made him difficult contend with for the Milan defence.
Physically, the highly-rated wideman looks like he is ready to play at the highest level — considering his unusually lanky frame for a wide forward and his ability to ride challenges.
Fatah did not seem like he was injured at all and instead, he looked incredibly sharp and perhaps one to keep an eye out in City’s pre-season fixtures against Barcelona and Chelsea.
