As Manchester City secured a 3-1 win against Copenhagen on Tuesday, Phil Foden made history in the Champions League.

After the contest, Gary Lineker hailed the Stockport-born midfielder as “outrageously brilliant” as he registered a goal and an assist.

Yet again, Foden had his fingerprints all over yet another crucial game for the treble-winners this season.

As Phil Foden started for Manchester City in their latest triumph against Copenhagen, he became the youngest Englishman (23 years and 261 days) to reach 50 appearances in the Champions League, as per Opta Joe.
