Brighton owner Tony Bloom is now reportedly of the belief that striker Evan Ferguson, linked with Manchester City recently, is now worth more than £115 million.
The teenager has emerged as one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents over the last 18 months or so.
Ferguson made his debut for Brighton while they were still in the Championship, but has now gained more prominence at the Amex Stadium.
He has hit five goals so far this term, which follows a haul of 11 for the first-team last season.
It was suggested earlier this year that Manchester City are tracking Ferguson, whom Gary Lineker believes is a bit like Erling Haaland.
But any move by City is likely to be met by resistance, with Bloom’s feelings about Ferguson’s market value now shared…
Tony Bloom feels Evan Ferguson is now worth more than £115 million

TalkSPORT have reported about Ferguson following his decision to sign a new contract at the Amex Stadium recently.
Ferguson agreed fresh terms with the club and is now contracted with the Seagulls until 2029, with the youngster also becoming one of the top earners.
Following this, Brighton’s owner Bloom reckons Ferguson can sell for way above £100 million.
In fact, Bloom believes that Ferguson is now worth more than Moises Caicedo, who is currently the British record transfer. In the summer he joined Chelsea for a reported £115 million.
But he will not be in the move in January, with Bloom saying recently that Brighton ‘just don’t do that’.
Ferguson to City probably not likely
It is difficult to imagine City making a move for a player like Ferguson given Pep already has Haaland.
Ferguson isn’t quite as tall as the Norwegian but he is stylistically similar, so it doesn’t make a great deal of sense for City to try and sign him. If Haaland left the Etihad, which does not feel particularly likely to happen any time soon, then he’s someone City should be all over.
TalkSPORT say they’ve been told that City are not currently eyeing up the youngster.
If City are going to shell out over £115 million on a player, it would probably not be on someone who’d have the world’s best player in his position ahead of him in the pecking order.
