Leroy Sane has been linked with a move to Liverpool, and while the winger may make Jurgen Klopp’s side, it is not all bad news for Manchester City.
Over the weekend, it emerged that Liverpool want to sign Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane, a player Manchester City sold.

The Mirror has reported that Liverpool want to sign Sane as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Apparently, the Germany international winger is the Reds’ number one target to replace the Egyptian, who has clubs in Saudi Arabia keen on him.a
The report has claimed that Liverpool are ready to break their transfer record to sign the Germany international.

Over the years, Liverpool have become Manchester City’s main challengers for the Premier League title.
So, signing a 27-year-old Sane at the top of his game is only going to make the Merseyside club stronger.
However, it is not all bad news for City.
How Manchester City could benefit
That is because the Citizens, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, have a sell-on clause.
Back in June 2020, The Manchester Evening News reported that as part of their agreement to sell Sane to Bayern, City “included a 10 per cent sell on clause into the deal”.
So, whatever Liverpool pay Bayern for Sane, City will get a decent chunk of it.
And, they could use that money and invest in the transfer window.
Sane had injury problems during his time at City and did not want to sign a new deal, which is why the Premier League giants sold him for an initial €49 million (£42.50 million) (talkSPORT).
The Bayern no. 10 has scored six goals in seven Bundesliga matches so far this season.
Sane has also scored one goal in two UEFA Champions League matches for the Bavarian giants this campaign.
