Inter Milan are now very keen to sign Manchester City target Tajon Buchanan in the January transfer window.
That is according to Fabrizio Romano.
So, what is the latest on Manchester City target Tajon Buchanan? Let’s take a look…
Tajon Buchanan update
Well – according to the Daily Star – Manchester City are hoping to sign the Canada international this winter.
It was said that Buchanan is likely to leave if a £50m bid is made – as he only has 18 months remaining on his contract.
Now – however – Manchester City face competition from Inter Milan, who are set to open talks with Club Brugge shortly.
The reliable Romano wrote on X (previously known as Twitter): “Tajon Buchanan, priority target for Inter to cover that (right side) position — not easy deal with Club Brugge but Inter will make contact with parties involved soon.”

In 20 appearances so far this season, the Club Brugge No.17 has scored three goals and provided four assists.
Manchester City are surely favourites ahead of Inter Milan
In our view, the treble winners can easily beat Inter Milan to Buchanan’s signature – for a number of reasons.
Firstly, the financial situations of both clubs are incomparable.
Manchester City are among the wealthiest sides on the planet, whereas Inter Milan have struggled financially in recent times, with The New York Times describing the situation as a “rolling financial crisis” at the San Siro.

Inter Milan were forced to part with Achraf Hakimi, Romelu Lukaku and Antonio Conte in 2021 despite winning Serie A – and also cashed in on Andre Onana last summer.
The Italian giants will therefore surely struggle to meet Club Brugge’s £50m asking price – even if Inter Milan did find a way, Manchester City would still hold an advantage for sporting reasons, given the club’s status as treble winners.
Be sure to keep an eye on the situation involving Buchanan, as anything could happen.
