Well, it is no surprise to see Guardiola taking a look at the Inter Milan No.32 after his rise to stardom.
Dimarco has quickly become one of the most effective full-backs around, making a real impact down the left flank for Inter Milan.
In just five Serie A appearances so far this season, the 25-year-old has already scored one goal and provided three assists, which is a fantastic return.
Dimarco made just four appearances under Conte before grabbing his opportunity under Simone Inzaghi at the San Siro, although the 54-year-old was keen to praise the defender for his attitude while being left out of the starting XI.
As quoted by Forza Italian Football, the old Chelsea and Tottenham boss said: “Borja Valero? After the win against Torino I praised him and Dimarco. Even though they haven’t played, they have always shown professionalism and a love for this shirt over the past four months.
“Borja and Dimarco are examples for this entire group.”

As aforesaid, the iconic Carlos, arguably the greatest left-back to ever play the game, has also praised the Manchester City target.
Strangely, the quotes do not seem to be available online, but Dimarco has been quoted on his reaction to hearing praise from the Brazilian legend.
Speaking to Sky Sports (as quoted by FC Inter News), the Italian said: “I thank Roberto Carlos, hearing some nice words from one of the strongest full-backs in the world is always nice.”
Clearly, Guardiola is eyeing up a very talented full-back with the technical ability to make an impact in the final third, which should excite Manchester City supporters.
