The well-known pundit tweeted after the £51 million (Sky Sports) man perfectly struck his third goal on the day after a stunning bit of play from Sergio Gomez down the left flank.
Gary Lineker, much like those witnessing Manchester City tear Fulham to shreds was unsurprisingly in awe of Erling Haaland.

Branded as ‘amazing’ by Ilkay Gundogan, the Norwegian striker even assisted City’s opener by squaring the ball to Julian Alvarez to tap into the back of the net.
Apart from the aforementioned third goal, Haaland capitalized on a deflection off Ream to open his account with a composed finish and even struck a venomous penalty later on in the second half.
Gary Lineker reacted to the exploits from Manchester City megastar Erling Haaland against Fulham by simply saying, “A first hat-trick of the season for the prolific Erling Haaland.”

The emphasis on the word, ‘first’ is a reminder of the fact that the former Borussia Dortmund goalscorer is expected to score many of those this time around, just like last season.
Doubt Erling Haaland at your own peril
Gary Lineker seems to expect the Manchester City superstar to match his goal tally from the previous campaign, if not come close to it this season, as he reached his sixth goal in four Premier League games against Fulham.
Last season, Haaland had the same total after having played the same number of games.
But in the build-up to the 2023/2024 season, the popular opinion was that the 23-year-old would be unable to match his exploits from a truly once-in-a-lifetime campaign.
But as Erling Haaland continues to prove, doubting him in any capacity is just naïve at this point.
