But there is a sense that De Bruyne has surpassed the Sky Blues trio and has a claim for being the greatest the league has ever seen.
Alan Smith certainly believes that Manchester City technician Kevin De Bruyne is one of the Premier League’s greatest-ever operators in the middle of the park as he also picked him as the best player in the world.

Often, greats of the game like the midfield maestro are truly given the credit they deserve either right after they announce their retirement or years after they hang up their boots.
But seeing how Alan Smith has lauded Kevin De Bruyne is lovely to see, as it is important for such legends of the game to be praised for how much they have done for football and the Premier League specifically.
Whether or not getting such appreciation matters to De Bruyne or not, the fact that he is being praised for how phenomenal his career has been for years is brilliant to hear, as should the case be for other such elite players.
