Manchester City could make it five wins out of five in the Premier League tomorrow.

After winning their first four matches of the new campaign, City have the chance to continue their winning streak by beating Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Having beat Chelsea, Ipswich Town, West Ham United and Brentford, Pep Guardiola has seen his side score more goals (11) than any other team in the division.

Ahead of tomorrow’s big showdown with Mikel Arteta’s side, one pundit and former top-flight player has singled out one particular figure from City’s squad and heaped praise on his performances so far this season.

Nigel Reo-Coker lauds Erling Haaland’s form this season

While previewing City’s big clash with Arsenal in a recent episode of BBC Sport’s Football Daily podcast, Nigel Reo-Coker said this about Erling Haaland and how he’s started the season.

He said: “Erling Haaland has been sensational. He really looks focused. It looks like he has got a point to prove.

“It looks like he wants to show the world that he could probably potentially, people have to say, he is one of the best players in world football.”

Haaland could fire City to another title

Starting all four of City’s league games so far this season, Haaland has found the back of the net nine times, which is more than every other side in the division has been able to.

In fact, he’s had more shots on target (13) than four other clubs have in the league.

Reo-Coker isn’t the only former top-flight player to share his astonishment at what the Norwegian has done in this campaign, as Aaron Lennon recently said that Haaland’s goalscoring ability has been “scary” this season.

Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, if the 24-year-old can keep this impressive goalscoring form going, he could well end up firing City to a fifth consecutive Premier League title.
