Man City vs Arsenal: ESPN pundit says Bernardo Silva had an ‘underrated game’

ESPN pundit Gabriele Marcotti has lauded Bernardo Silva for his excellent display for Manchester City in their 4-1 victory against Arsenal.

The £43 million (BBC Sport) man was particularly complimented for how his display went under-the-radar due to the magnificence of Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland against Mikel Arteta’s side.

However, pundit Gabriele Marcotti made sure to give Bernardo Silva credit, as he was typically impressive in a Manchester City shirt against Arsenal.

The Portuguese international was branded as a ‘majestic footballer’ by Rio Ferdinand and one of his favourite players to personally watch in the Premier League after City’s 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich.

After what was quite an underwhelming first half of the campaign from the fleet-footed technician, he has raised the bar once again during the business end of the season as a right-winger.

Pundit Gabriele Marcotti went out of his way to lavish praise on to Manchester City fan favourite Bernardo Silva for how well he played against Arsenal.

“Bernardo Silva, who I thought had an underrated game and was really, really strong this game”, he said on ESPN FC.
