Mark Schwarzer has said that one Manchester City player did something very impressive against Tottenham Hotspur.
On Tuesday night, the Citizens picked up their first-ever Premier League win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium by beating Ange Postecoglou’s side 2-0.
With the Blues now two points ahead of Arsenal at the top of the league table, a win against West Ham United on the final day of the season this weekend will see them win the Premier League for the fourth year in a row.
During the match in North London, one pundit couldn’t help but share his astonishment at one thing he saw one particular City player do in the game.
Schwarzer says Erling Haaland did something ‘brilliant’ against Spurs

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live (via BBC Sport) during the match, Schwarzer had this to say after seeing Erling Haaland score the penalty that doubled City’s lead and secured the vital three points for them.
He said: “Absolutely brilliant penalty, straight into the top left-hand corner. Erling Haaland, never in doubt.
“Guglielmo Vicario no chance, cool and calm from the City forward.
“The fans go absolutely wild in the far corner.”
Haaland did what he does best against Spurs
After failing to find the back of the net in City’s 4-0 win over Fulham last weekend, the striker, who the Blues paid £51m to sign back in 2022, bagged both goals for Pep Guardiola’s side against Spurs.
The Norwegian’s first goal saw him get on the end of a cross from Kevin De Bruyne and neatly tap the ball past Vicario in the 51st minute.
Then in injury time, Haaland scored the penalty that Jeremy Doku won to help seal the crucial three points for the title-chasing Blues.
With the 23-year-old now scoring 27 goals in 30 Premier League appearances for City, he is now six goals ahead of Cole Palmer in the race for the Golden Boot.
To have scored such a crucial goal in such a pivotal game for his side shows how much of an elite player he is who can deliver in high-pressure moments when it matters.
