Craig Burley has said that in his opinion, Erling Haaland has bettered Harry Kane in 2023, with both having scored 48 goals in total this year.
Speaking to ESPN FC, the outspoken pundit was quizzed about whether Haaland has been superior to the Bayern Munich striker this year.
Interestingly enough, Ben Foster recently claimed that Harry Kane would outscore the 23-year-old if he was at Manchester City.
Craig Burley says Erling Haaland has been better than Harry Kane in 2023
Since Kane has taken to life in Germany like a duck to water, whether he or Haaland is now the better goalscorer has been constantly debated.
While some believe that the Manchester City megastar remains the best No.9 in the world, others believe that the Englishman is a far more complete player and therefore, superior.
But when quizzed about whether Erling Haaland or Harry Kane has been better in 2023, Craig Burley instantly sided with the former.

“It’s easy, isn’t it? It’s the guy that won the Premier League and the Champions League”, Burley told ESPN FC.
The Bayern striker is yet to perform in the circumstances Erling Haaland has
Craig Burley is spot on as while Harry Kane may be on the same tier as Erling Haaland as a striker, has he stepped up whilst under the same pressure and expectations?
After all, the Leeds-born goalscorer has led City not just to triumphs in the Premier League and the FA Cup but also the Champions League in an unprecedented treble-winning season.
While Kane could well do so at Bayern, that remains to be seen.
Erling Haaland has been there and done that in what was arguably one of the greatest individual seasons in the modern era, scoring 52 goals in 53 games in all competitions in the previous term.
As a result, it is clear to see why Erling Haaland has reigned supreme in this debate for Craig Burley.
