Joleon Lescott was left stunned by what Micah Hamilton did as Manchester City recorded a 3-2 win over Red Star Belgrade in the UEFA Champions League.

The 41-year-old was speaking on TNT Sports.

So, what did Joleon Lescott say about Manchester City No.92 Micah Hamilton? Let’s take a look…

What Joleon Lescott said about Micah Hamilton

Well, the man who made 160 appearances for Manchester City was blown away by the confidence of the 20-year-old against Red Star Belgrade.

Hamilton marked his Manchester City debut in the best way possible as he rifled a rocket beyond Omri Glazer after just 19 minutes, which ensured the treble winners eventually secured a 3-2 win and a 100% record in Group G.

Speaking about the City Football Academy graduate’s goal, Lescott said: “Dream start for Micah Hamilton, debut for the club and scored a goal. I doubt he would have pictured this. The level of confidence he showed was remarkable.”

The Manchester-born prodigy really did show a level of belief that defied his years in Serbia tonight when Matheus Nunes slotted him in on goal.

Hamilton held his run expertly, before breezing past his man and firing in a ruthless finish just like the ones we witnessed from Riyad Mahrez for all those years.

Micah Hamilton shows why Manchester City sold Cole Palmer

Many people have questioned Manchester City’s decision to let Cole Palmer join Chelsea.

The 21-year-old was sold in a £42.5m deal on transfer deadline day.

However, the performance from Hamilton – coupled with Oscar Bobb’s brilliant display as well – shows why Guardiola felt comfortable to let the England international depart.

There are still some areas Manchester City would seemingly like to improve – apparently on the left of defence – although those wide attacking areas appear to be in very fine shape.
