Manchester City are planning new Pep Guardiola contract beyond 2025

Branded as ‘ruthless’ by the i Newspaper, the Spaniard is widely considered as the best manager in the world, especially after having won the treble last season.

In fact, Ilkay Gundogan has said that the former Bayern Munich boss is perhaps the greatest coach he has come across in his lifetime.

Now, it has indeed been revealed that the owners at Manchester City aim to tie Pep Guardiola down to a new contract.

Ultimately, the 52-year-old is believed to have played a central role in his key players signing long-term deals recently as well.

Locking Pep Guardiola to a new deal should be the treble-winners’ biggest priority

Simply put, Pep Guardiola is the protagonist at Manchester City and to ensure that he signs a contract extension should be the club’s primary focus.

As has been proven over the years, legends have come and gone but the decorated manager has shown to be the true X-factor that has allowed City to tower about the rest.

While many would assume that Pep Guardiola’s prime was at Barcelona, the truth seems to be that he is improving as a manager over time.

Manchester City have arguably the greatest coach of all time at their disposal and if he decides to prolong his stay, they could build a dynasty like no other for years on end.

As a result, the Sky Blues must do everything in their power to persuade Guardiola not to call it a day in 2025.
