It has been reported that Manchester City are showing an interest in signing Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
This comes from the Sun as it seems like City are already looking ahead to next summer to discover how to bolster their roster.
One way in which Manchester City seem to believe they could do so is by making a move for Marc Guehi.
Manchester City plotting mega Marc Guehi transfer
Branded as ‘brilliant’ by Conor Gallagher (via the Evening Standard), the 23-year-old is regarded as one of the best defenders in the Premier League.
Alongside Joachim Andersen, the England international has formed one of the most formidable centre-back duos in the country.
Now, it has been revealed that Manchester City are in the market to sign a ‘top’ centre-back and one of them that has caught their eye is Marc Guehi.

Palace are expected to demand a sizable fee to sell the highly-rated defender, with a bidding war expected to truly begin in the summer.
Alongside City, the other Premier League clubs that are believed to be interested in Guehi’s signature are Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.
Signing Marc Guehi would mean Pep Guardiola is doubling down on trusting his new system
In the event that Manchester City do end up signing Marc Guehi, the natural question to ask is how he will get any game time.
After all, the Sky Blues have the likes of Ruben Dias, who Jamie Carragher reckons is their best defender, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Josko Gvardiol and Manuel Akanji on their books.
But perhaps the addition of another centre-back could mean that Pep Guardiola’s days of trusting full-backs as a major part of his side are well and truly behind him.
The idea could well be to utilize Guehi, both in the centre of defence and as a full-back, with perhaps Lewis perhaps being deployed more in midfield next season.
