It has been reported that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was against the idea of sending Oscar Bobb out on loan.
This comes from the Telegraph, as the 20-year-old has already made a couple of appearances for the first-team this season.
It seems like Pep Guardiola was responsible for ensuring that Oscar Bobb does not go out on loan and instead, develops further under his keen eye.

Branded as ‘unbelievable’ by the Catalan tactician himself, the 20-year-old has made quite the impression at senior level during both pre-season and in his cameos off the bench this campaign.
So much so that Guardiola assured after City’s 3-1 win against Red Star Belgrade that the Norwegian talent will get a ‘lot of minutes’, especially after McAtee’s loan move as well as Mahrez and Palmer’s exits.
Now, it has indeed been revealed that Pep Guardiola was keen on Oscar Bobb being a part of his first-team squad at Manchester City rather than going on loan.
In addition, clubs such as Ajax and Porto were two of the many clubs that were interested in signing the youngster on loan.
So much so that both clubs were willing to add the silky technician to their Champions League rosters this season.
Huge vote of confidence in Oscar Bobb
Clearly, Pep Guardiola sees something special in Oscar Bobb because in most cases when it comes to young players, Manchester City have been happy to let them develop elsewhere on loan.
But considering the Spaniard stepped in to ensure this was not the case with Bobb, perhaps he has two beliefs.
One, that much like in Phil Foden’s case, training day in and day out with the senior side will accelerate his development to a degree that would not be the case at another club on loan.
Two, the Manchester City manager believes Oscar Bobb could be in line for game time, whether that is only in cup competitions, as a rotation player in the league at times or as a genuine option in the event of an injury crisis in either midfield or attack.
