The future of Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has been a hot topic during this summer transfer window.
The Belgian completed his ninth campaign with Pep Guardiola’s side last season, winning his sixth Premier League trophy at the end of it.
Since then, with his contract set to expire next summer, rumours have swirled about a potential exit from the Etihad Stadium either this summer or in 2025 as a free agent.
With Guardiola recently saying that De Bruyne will not be leaving City in this window, a report has now shared some details on where the 33-year-old could end up if he were to bring an end to his time at the club next summer.

Kevin De Bruyne’s potential next move for 2025 Man City exit
A recent report from Give Me Sport has claimed that a move to New York City FC could be De Bruyne’s ideal next destination if he were to leave the Manchester club in the summer of 2025 when his current contract at the Etihad expires.
The report also adds that if a move to the Big Apple or Saudi Arabia doesn’t appeal to the Belgian, San Diego FC could also be an option for him if relocating to America ends up being his preferred move.
De Bruyne is still a vital player for City
Even though he missed a significant portion of the previous season, the midfielder still showed how effective he can be for City.
For instance, in addition to scoring four goals and supplying 10 assists across his 18 Premier League games, De Bruyne ended the campaign with the highest rate of shot-creating actions per 90 minutes (7.36) and goal-creating actions per 90 minutes (1.18) in the division.
With the midfielder now likely to spend at least one more season at the Manchester club, the focus on De Bruyne behind the scenes will now be on whether the club offers him a new deal or not.
