It has been reported that the plan at Manchester City is to send Cole Palmer on loan in the 2023/2024 season.
This comes from the Daily Mail, as the 20-year-old barely featured for the treble winners in the previous campaign.
As a result, Manchester City seemingly believe that a loan spell would be ideal for Cole Palmer to develop into a more refined prospect.

Branded as a player with ‘special quality’ by Pep Guardiola via Eurosport, there is no disputing how naturally talented the English winger is.
Often compared to Riyad Mahrez, many believe that the silky wideman will be the Algerian legend’s natural successor, once his time at the club is up.
However, it has been claimed that Cole Palmer is likely to leave Manchester City this summer, most likely on loan, which may open the door to a potential permanent exit as well.
It has been mentioned that there is a feeling of disappointment that the Wythenshawe-born youngster did not shine as much as expected.
As a result, there is a sense of hope that once Palmer does go out on loan, he will become a lot more accustomed to the senior game.
Unlikely that Palmer is sold
Considering the report does not deny the fact that Manchester City could sell Cole Palmer, one expects his departure to be temporary, as a loan move seems a lot likelier.
After all, it was only in the summer of 2021 in which the highly-rated forward signed a contract extension with his boyhood club until 2026, to which Aymeric Laporte reacted happily.
In all fairness to Palmer, he was only been given limited minutes and that too in other positions apart from his favoured right-wing spot, such as on the left flank and in midfield.
With how much talent the technically gifted attacker has and how ready he has looked at senior level, a loan move would only boost the player’s confidence and allow him to contend for a spot in the first-team, sooner rather than later.
