Manchester City are about to start another journey to potentially get their hands on another Premier League title.
Their previous campaign saw the Manchester club lift a historic fourth consecutive league trophy, beating Arsenal to the title for a second time in a row.
Across their 38 games, Pep Guardiola’s side won 28 of them, drawing seven and losing three along the way.
Having racked up 91 points in total, City finished two points above the Gunners, led by Mikel Arteta, who recently said the best way his side can topple the Blues is to win all of their upcoming league games.
With the 2024/25 campaign set to kick off this weekend, one pundit has shared his thoughts on how the title race could pan out for these two sides.

Richards Keys drops early Man City Premier League title claim
In a recent post on his blog, Richard Keys had this to say about City and Arsenal battling it out once again for the Premier League title.
He said: “I expect City to win it. Able to spend as they do and ride roughshod over the rules that everyone else is restricted by, they should always win it.
“But if Arsenal – as a collective – can grow a pair, they might just nick it. By that I mean be brave enough to win big games. Believe they can win big games. Don’t be frightened to win big games.
“That’s what cost them last time. It wasn’t losing at home to Villa – it was being scared to win at City. Yes – being scared to win.
“There’s a difference between that and not wanting to lose. They didn’t want to lose at City. They left delighted with their point, but I said on the day they’d regret not winning.
“They were the better side. They had City where they wanted them but got scared and let them off the hook.
“If they’d had the same attitude as [Arsene] Wenger’s teams when they went to OT and twice got big results, they’d have put City out of the race and gone on to win the title themselves.”
City will be focused on making more history
Having won six league titles in the past seven years, we see no reason why Guardiola and his players would have a different attitude about winning this title compared to their previous ones.
Following on from their recent win over Manchester United in the Community Shield, this should put the Blues in a positive position to attack their opening league game of the season this weekend away at Chelsea.
Looking further down the line towards the end of the campaign and the title race specifically, we feel that City will have Arsenal as their main rivals for the trophy.
