Richard Keys has made his feelings clear about Manchester City’s new fourth kit, which they have worn for the first time in the Champions League match against Inter.
Manchester City have kicked their Champions League campaign off with a home fixture against Inter in a rematch of the 2023 final.
The Italian champions are City’s first of eight opponents in the revamped Champions League format, as they bid to finish in the top eight of the 36-team table to qualify automatically for the last 16.
Despite playing their first European fixture at home, Pep Guardiola’s side did not sport their home colours and instead wore their brand new fourth kit, named ‘ definitely City.’
The faded yellow shirt with blue piping – partnered with blue and pink accented socks and shorts – was designed by Oasis star and famous City fan Noel Gallagher.
Oasis remarkably reunited in August ahead of a series of gigs across the UK and Ireland in 2025 and the shirt paid tribute to the 30th anniversary of the seminal album ‘Definitely Maybe.’
It’s the fastest-selling shirt in City’s history but Richard Keys has made it clear he is not a fan in the slightest.

Richard Keys tells Noel Gallagher to ‘stick to music’
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, during the first half of City’s clash with Inter, football presenter Keys offered his thoughts on the new kit and took a swipe at Gallagher in the process.
He wrote: “If this City strip really was co-designed by @NoelGallagher I’d suggest sticking to music.
“Its awful. See you at Wembley.”
Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the Man City third kit
Though Keys might not like it, Guardiola shared his positive thoughts on the new kit ahead of Wednesday’s match.
The manager said on Gallagher: “It was a good design. Apart from being a great, unbelievable musician, I think he’s a good designer as well.
“The kit is marvellous, it’s so beautiful, the colours and everything.”
Gallagher said about the design upon its launch: “When Puma approached us at one of the games about designing a kit, it took about five seconds to agree to it.
“It’s the same colour palette as the cover of Definitely Maybe: it’s unique but it’s definitely striking, and I think it looks great. When you see people representing your club – it’s important that they look good.”
