Rodri has played alongside many top players during his time at Manchester City.
Since joining the Citizens back in 2019, the Spaniard has gone on to make 257 appearances for the club across all competitions, playing alongside 53 other names along the way.
With the 2024 European Championship winner set to feature in his latest season with Pep Guardiola’s side, Rodri has taken the time to share a significant bit of praise for one particular player in the City squad he’s enjoyed a lot of success with.

Rodri names Kevin De Bruyne as the greatest player of all time
Appearing in a recent video shared on the official Goal TikTok channel, Rodri was involved in a word association game where he had to pick a certain player who he thinks suits a particular word or phrase.
When asked to choose a player he feels fits the description of being the greatest of all time, the Spaniard picked Kevin De Bruyne.
De Bruyne is one of the Premier League’s best-ever players
Rodri isn’t the only Premier League star to hail the City veteran, as Anthony Gordon said that he would love to sign De Bruyne for Newcastle United due to his passing ability.
Having spent £54m to sign the Belgian back in 2015, City have seen De Bruyne go on to make 384 appearances for the club in all competitions.
Across those games, the 33-year-old has scored 102 goals, delivered 170 assists and won multiple trophies in the process.
Since Rodri joined him at the Etihad Stadium, the duo have appeared in 182 games together, racking up six joint goal participations between them.
Taking into account everything De Bruyne has done for City, there’s no denying that not only is he one of the greatest players the Premier League has ever seen but he is also one of the best players in City’s history and deserves the moniker Rodri has now given him.
