City are fancied in the FA Cup, and that’s due to the fact the Premier League champions’ squad is packed full of world-class talent.
Phil Foden is unplayable on his day, while Jeremy Doku is also a real difference-maker when he’s on top form.
Unfortunately, some of City’s key players are out injured at the moment.
Rodri is the current Ballon d’Or holder and he’s been out for a long time, while Erling Haaland is also injured.
Rodri and Haaland are two of the best players on the planet, and speaking to JD Sports, Rodri has made quite an interesting claim about Erling Haaland.
Rodri picks Erling Haaland over Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr
Rodri took part in a TikTok challenge for JD Sports where he had to rank and rate some of the world’s very best footballers.
Inevitably, Rodri had to make some choices regarding some of his current City teammates.
During the challenge, Rodri was asked to pick beween Erling Haaland and Vinicius Jr, as well as having to pick between Haaland and Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe vs Haaland is a great debate at the moment, but, on this occasion, Rodri picked the City star over the two Real Madrid aces.
Haaland didn’t quite take the crown as the winner of this challenge though as Rodri picked Lionel Messi over Haaland.
Intriguingly, Messi almost signed for City at one point.
Erling Haaland compared to Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr
Rodri picked Haaland over Mbappe and Vincius Jr, and that’s a claim that’s bound to spark debate.
Rodri and Vincius Jr have something of a rivalry after last year’s Ballon d’Or fiasco, and now, the midfielder has added a bit more fuel to that fire.
Haaland is a world-class player, and, even in this difficult season, he’s outperforming Mbappe.

Of course, you have to judge a player on more than just one season, and that’s why comparing Haaland to Mbappe is so difficult.
Haaland has won the Champions League, and he’s played for longer at a higher level as Mbappe spent most of his career up to this point in Ligue 1.
However, on the international stage, Mbappe is a World Cup winner, and he’s also won a World Cup Golden Boot as well.
Different experts have different views on this debate, but, one thing is for sure, Mbappe and Haaland are two of the best in the world.
