Manchester City are back in Premier League action this weekend following the first international break of the season.

Pep Guardiola’s side find themselves at the top of the league table having won all three of their matches prior to the recent international break.

On Saturday, City will be back at the Etihad Stadium to take on Brentford for their second home match of the campaign.

Looking ahead to this game, one pundit and former top-flight star has shared his prediction for how this latest game could pan out.

Roy Keane shares score prediction for Man City vs Brentford

In a recent edition of Stick To Football, when asked to share his score prediction for City’s match against Brentford, Roy Keane had this to say in response.

He said: “2-0.”

City will want to keep their winning streak going

Even though Guardiola said that he isn’t as eager to win a fifth consecutive Premier League title as he was to break the record of winning four in a row, he’ll still want to see his players do all they can to regain their trophy this time around.

Having secured victories against Chelsea, Ipswich Town and West Ham United, City have scored more goals than any other side in the league (9) and conceded just two along the way.

In comparison, the Bees have secured home victories against Crystal Palace and Southampton but lost to Liverpool at Anfield in their second match of the season.

With City having had such a strong start to their season, they will undoubtedly want to keep their winning streak going and pick up all three points against Brentford this weekend.

Taking into account how deadly the Blues have been in front of goal so far this season and the fact that Brentford have yet to keep a clean sheet, this makes it easy to see why Keane has predicted a 2-0 victory for the home side this weekend.
